Sportsmanship DCT for July 2nd, 2009

Camp Happy Heart has just began. Its a time to work together, to give a helping hand, to earn points, and be able to see the joy that trying brings.

Have any of y'all put it this way. Famous NBA Star Michael Jordan says, "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships." That quote is true. Do you think we can win this Years Camp Happy Heart by showing a positive attitude and working hard? I want you to earn each point by smiling not fear. I want you to play like never before and show that you can do it!! There are probably gonna be a time that we are going to be loosing. Michael Jordan who played for Miami Heats says, "Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation." I want us to play and try to accomplish not give up when we are losing. =] =]

I want each and everyone of us to link hands when we go through this Camp Happy Heart. I want you to keep in mind its not about winning. Losing isn't a failure but not trying is. Do whatever it takes; cheer for the team, give a helping hand to a team mate, or earn points. Each of us can make a difference even if your not good at winning games. I'll admit that I probably am not as good as a game player as some of my best friends or members here but I know I can support someone. Its not hard, it just takes a heart to say it. This isn't a time to get competitive and destroy friendship with another member on a different team. Its the time to link hands with everyone. Remember, work as a team...you might find it being the biggest accomplishment...
